Job Title: 2nd & 3rd shift Machine Operator

Reports to: Manufacturing Technician

Job Summary: Under the general direction of the Manufacturing Technician, this position will operate converting machines.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Follows safe operating procedures and practices for assigned converting machine
2. Maintains a clean and orderly work area
3. Performs minor adjustments to assigned converting machine
4. Packages product into boxes for shipment
5. Performs and records quality inspections to assure product meets quality standards
6. Accurately records production quantities, time, and raw material usage
7. Assists in roll changes and loading product on pallets
8. Assists in machine set-up and raw material preparation
9. Assists in training new team members

Job Qualifications:

1. The job requires knowledge normally acquired through the completion of High School or equivalent
2. Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with team members
3. Mental ability to periodically handle pressures related to working on projects requiring attention and detail
4. Physical ability to bend, twist and walk most of the shift as well as lift and transport equipment and materials weighing up to 35 pounds

Working Conditions:

1. Inside working conditions with exposure to hot and cold conditions
2. Work includes periodic exposure to fumes, odors, dust, noise and moving objects
3. Work includes exposure to hazards associated with electrical and mechanical equipment

Job Title: 2nd Shift Slitter Operator

Reports to: Team Lead

Job Summary: Under the general direction of the Team Lead this position will slit rolls of foam, bubble or spunbond material per specifications.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Follow safe operating practices and procedures
2. Keep work area clean, organized and safe
3. Process slit bundles for production
4. Process slit bundles for shipment and resale
5. Perform shipping and receiving responsibilities when required
6. Makes samples and cuts cores as needed
7. Assist with training new team members
8. Assist with organizing and coordinating inventory storage locations as well as monthly fiscal count of inventory when required
9. Assist in the laminator role as needed
10. Works closely with Material Handler to move product throughout the plant
11. Back up coverage for Machine Operators, Material Handlers and Maintenance as needed

Job Qualifications:

1. The job requires knowledge normally acquired through the completion of High School or equivalent
2. Valid Driver’s license
3. Basic Computer Skills
4. Ability to attain and retain forklift certification
5. Ability to attain bridge crane certificate within one week
6. Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with team members
7. Mental ability to periodically handle pressures related to working on multiple projects simultaneously that require attention and detail
8. Physical ability to operate the Slitter machine within machine guidelines, bend, twist and walk most of the shift as well as lift and transport equipment and materials weighing up to 70 pounds

Job Title: Production Manager

Reports to: Company President

Job Summary: Under the general direction of the company President, this position is a working hands on manager responsible for managing all production, operations, maintenance, product quality and cost processes.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and control labor hours and cost for manufacturing and maintenance according to the budget and business plan
2. Manage and maintain accurate process inventory and parts
3. Coordinate machinery, people, and material process flow to ensure on-time quality delivery to all customers
4. Manage human resource performance, including performance expectations and evaluations, disciplinary actions and employee relations
5. Manage the maintenance and repair function for facility, machines and equipment.
6. Employ continuous improvement and lean manufacturing concepts to achieve better work flow and eliminate waste
7. Communicate and enforce all required safety procedures, rules and work practices.
8. Design and maintain standard work instruction for all manufacturing processes
9. Assist in selection and hiring of all new employees
10. Train and develop manufacturing Team Leaders and Team Members in manufacturing practices and company policies.

Job Qualifications:

1. High School Degree.
2. Degree in Business related curriculum or other related program preferred
3. 5-10 years of progressive manufacturing management experience in a small to medium sized environment or 3 plus years experience in production of flexible or protective packaging.
4. Functional knowledge and use of Microsoft office suite
5. Ability to lead teams, manage interpersonal relationships and maximize human performance
6. Hands on management style, with demonstrated capability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
7. Excellent technical and mechanical capability
8. Experience with advanced manufacturing techniques
9. Physical ability to bend, twist, stand and walk most of the shift as well as lift and transport equipment and materials weighing up to 70 pounds
